The repository holds plugin manifests, an MCP entry and two skills. The server and design systems are hosted by Better Design. Do not treat the plugin repository as a complete self-hosted design platform.

Project documentation

The plugin README says the first connection opens sign-in and a free account works. The homepage also advertises access without an account. Because these descriptions differ, expect some plugin connections to require login. We have not verified an unlimited free allowance or every feature's entitlement; check the account terms before using generated assets or paid options.

For Claude Code, the documented MCP-only route is:

To include the task skills, use the upstream plugin marketplace instructions, or install the skills with:

npx skills add better-designs/better-design-plugin

Installing skills is distinct from authenticating to the remote service. Complete sign-in if your client requests it.

Upstream setup instructions

Try one screen in a disposable project. Ask the agent to show the selected design system and proposed file changes before installing components. Then inspect the actual rendered screen at desktop and mobile widths. Review output is guidance, not a guarantee of accessibility compliance.

If the connection asks for login, finish the documented account flow rather than assuming the public homepage promises anonymous access to every feature. Read the privacy policy before sending private design material.
